Our Testimonials

This project was over a year ago but we are long overdue to recognize dRemodeling for their excellent work (we had one baby during the project and another recently so we have been busy!).  We live in a 25yr old 3-story townhouse in the graduate hospital neighborhood of Philadelphia.  The original master bath was poorly laid out, grungy, and falling apart.  We hired dRemodeling to do a complete gut and remodel of the master bath.   We got cost estimates from 2 contractors that were very close, and we ended up choosing dRemodeling.  To start, Dan came out to the house to measure the room and take pictures, and then shortly thereafter sent us quote with a range of prices depending on various options (based on what would be installed and the quality of materials to be used).  Then, we talked to one of dRemodeling' s interior designers regarding layout and materials.  We already know the materials we wanted to use (we were borrowing from a friend's project), and we worked with dRemodeling on the layout.   One of the things that impressed us the most about dRemodeling was the cleanliness of the work crew.  Before starting any work (and any time they ever came to the house), the crew laid tarps covering any part of the floor that they would be walking on.  The crew installed a sealed plastic panel over the bathroom door and draped the area around the door in plastic.  During demo, everything was bagged in the bathroom before being carried out through the house.  The plastic panel kept any mess contained to the work area.  The crew always cleaned up after themselves, and we never had to clean up after dRemodeling.  We took this for granted at the time, but we have since dealt with contractors (not dRemodeling) that have left us holding the (garbage) bag hours after the work was done and the crew had left! Another thing that impressed us about dRemodeling is their willingness to do things right and take care of the job even after the job was over.  For example, during the project, the vanity lights were installed upside down, which included patching the drywall and painting.  We let dRemodeling know and they came out, cut new holes in the wall, flipped the lights, and patched the original holes no problem.  After the job was done, the train-style towel rack was drooping.  We had approved this item during the project, but it ended up being of poor quality.  We ordered a new one, and dRemodeling sent their team out to install it no questions asked.  (there are more examples, these are just two) We are very happy with the way the project came out.  These are the pictures:  http://www.dremodeling.com/portfolio/Modern-Marble-Master-Bath-Retreat-/76/.  The project was not cheap, but we did choose to use expensive materials (marble, tile, all glass shower enclosure, custom blinds, fixtures, etc), and we also had dRemodeling install an exhaust fan (there was no exhaust fan originally in the master bathroom) and replace and re-pipe an exhaust fan in the guest bathroom (this was the only thing dRemodeling did in our guest bathroom at the time).  And we will always be willing to pay for excellent customer service, which we got from dRemodeling.  The cost listed above is total project cost, that might not be the total cost paid to dRemodeling (hard to remember exactly after a year). No contractor and no remodeling job is ever perfect, but all in all our project with dRemodeling was very positive, and over a year later we still love the bathroom - it might be our favorite room in the house!  We would definitely recommend dRemodeling for a new bathroom.
