Our Testimonials

We worked with Devin during the design phase.  She had some good ideas and we were able to squeeze a half bath in a small space so it didn't feel cramped.  She was good at investigating ideas we had. Because this was a renovation for an old house, we had a number of surprises when we removed flooring or walls.  Dan was able to advise on what to do and cost options.  Dan was also good on providing updates and answering any questions we had.  Overall, the project went well.  My wife and I are happy with our renovated laundry room and are happy to have a bathroom on the first floor.  I think their pricing may be a little higher than other contractors.  I think they did provide quality work so this may just be a case of you get what you pay for. The only negative point I will make is regarding the charge to provide an estimate.  When I first contacted Dan about getting an estimate done, he said I would have to pay $75 for the estimate.  I had not heard of this before from any contractor I had worked with.  The $75 would be applied to the project if I decided to work with them and could be used for consulting design time if I decided to use a different contractor.  I thought this was strange because if I used a different contractor, why would I use dRemodleing for design work.  I had spoken to other contractors listed on Angie's List and none really impressed me so I decided to pay the $75. When their truck showed up on the first day of work, I see on the side of it that they offer free estimates.  I wasn't sure what to make of the $75 charge when it clearly says they have free estimates.  In the end, it didn't matter because I used them for the project. Aside from the $75 "free" estimate, I think they did a fine job.  I will consider them for any future project I have as long as they don't charge me for estimates.

Related Project: Eclectic Black and Gold Kitchen Remodel in Philadelphia

Working on the first floor within a historic home in Philadelphia, dRemodeling had to get creative in order to make a bold statement with this remodel. The layout of all of the plumbing fixtures and appliances had to remain the same but there were no rules as to the parameters of the cabinetry! We started by doubling the size of the island, converting it into a banquette seating area at the same time. We replaced the standard undermount sink with an oversized farmhouse sink from Kohler, decking it out with the Champagne Bronze Delta Trinsic sink faucet set. We also built the cabinetry up to the ceiling, utilizing the full height of the room, creating the opportunity to showcase the clients’ collection of tableware, and decorations. Adding…
