The goal of this project was to renovate the existing bathroom in the Comhar Institution in order to correct how poorly it had aged and suffered from use over time.  dRemodeling saw the need to perform a total facelift and create a new facility and accomplished that by going through the following steps.

The entire bathroom was gutted right down to the studs and plywood in order to remove all the old finishes and surfaces.  The joists and the studs of the ceiling, floor, and walls were all leveled.  Additionally, we removed all the 100-year old, uneven studs and replaced them with level metal ones.

All electrical wiring, plumbing, and ventilation were completely replaced with new materials.  Ceilings and walls were then covered with moisture and mold-resistant drywall and then were prepped for painting and tiling.

Sink fixtures as well as a new toilet and urinal were then installed, but anything that was reusable was cleaned and salvaged for re-use.  All of the fixtures were then installed and positioned in a manner that enabled disabled individuals to have easier access and mobility when using the bathroom.
